Hi. First, you're doing a fantastic job.

One question. The stages of PCM09 are compatible with PCM06?? Because I did some stages for this game and I could help you if you want.

PD: Sorry, my english it's not very well.

I think they are. At least they're in the same format (xml), only a little work on the surroundings could be necessary (maybe not even that).
So whatever you're willing to share will be very appreciated! Smile

Hi!! I try to do the stage of "Central European Tour Miskolc 2011". Could anyone see if it works in the PCM'06 [I have PCM05 and PCM09, but not PCM06]?

In the Stage Editor, I noticed that several cities included more than one waypoint. According to the Cyanide tutorial, that could lead to problems, so please avoid it in the future.
But the rendered stage in the Stage Editor looked fine, and the test in-game went very well - no problems.
Great gameplay also, with a 4-rider break (went at ~30 km to go) just holding off the sprinters.

By all means, keep up the good work!

All of them... Wink
wackojacko has already done the Sibiu Cycling Tour.
The Australian Championship has been held on the same parcours for years, so we already have that one.

I think the highest priority should be on the WT races. After that, the "new races" that there are no real stages for so far.

****
- Cancer Council Classic 2011
- Tour Down Under 2011

***
- Vuelta a Chile 2011
- Tour of Oman 2011
- Mumbai Cyclothon 2011
- Nasik Cyclothon 2011
- Czech Cycling Tour 2011
- Prova Ciclistica 9 de Julho 2011
- Giro del Medio Brenta 2011
- La Ronde Pévèloise 2011
- Central European Tour Budapest GP 2011

**
- Tour de San luis 2011
- Tour de Langkawi 2011
- Tropicale Amissa Bongo Ondimba 2011
- Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria 2011
- Tour of Qinghai Lake 2011

*
- New Zealand Championship [ITT & Road] 2011
- Vuelta a Tachira [St.1-9] 2011
- Tour of Wellington 2011
- National Championships South Africa [ITT & Road] 2011
- Tour of Qatar 2011
- Vuelta a Andalucia 2011
- Trofeu Joaquim Agostinho 2011
- Volta do Rio de Janeiro [St.01] 2011

no high priority (these races always have the same or almost the same parcours, in my opinion only to be done if there's nothing else to do; and there's no practicable way of implementing Continental Championships):
- GP Costa degli Etruschi 2011
- GP d'Ouverture La Marseillaise 2011
- Clasica de Almeria 2011
- GP Kranj 2011
- Prueba Villafranca de Ordizia 2011

no priority at all:
- U23 European Championship [ITT & Road] 2011 - there's no practicable way of implementing continental championships
- National Championships Costa Rica [ITT] 2011 - too few Costarican riders to have a national championship.

Of course, you'd also be welcome to get some files with the Giro profiles that only lack the route & surroundings (that goes for anyone else too).

Ok. What WT races must to be do??

I did the Cancer Council Classic, but I have a problem. The race is a circuit of 1,7 Km with 31 Laps [51 Km.], but the minimun kilometres for the game is 3,5 Km. So I did a circuit of 3,7Km, and 14 Laps, for complete the 51 Km. Furthermore, as it's a street circuit, I put some villages around to fix the problem that cities included more than one waypoint.

Now, I try to do Tour Down Under and some classic with ***.

For city criteriums like this one, or the last TDU stage (or if you want to have a big city over several waypoints), you can use the
building="3"
building="4"
building="5"
codes (the higher the number, the higher the buildings).
These have to be entered into the XML manually in the part with the roads. Make notes in the StageEditor which road nodes are within the city, and then add the "building="X"" after the ID number, but before the waypoints.
If you look at this stage I made myself, maybe it will make more sense:

I've had a look at your Cancer Council Classic, and I have several criticisms:
1) Your route goes the wrong way around, the circuit should be ridden counterclockwise.
2) You have tried to copy the real-life elevation changes. But whenever there is a road crossing, the game will automatically put in a stretch of completely flat road. On a short circuit like this, that will totally mess up the profile. I'd advise that for this type of criteriums you just make the road completely flat - the short uphills aren't enough for a rider to get away in PCM anyway.
3) The altitude of the start & finish point aren't the same. I suppose that's because you added 2 km at the end, making it go too low. I think the game corrects things like that automatically, but it could maybe lead to a strange climb right at the finish line, messing up the final sprint.

I put a list of high-priority races that don't have real stages in the first post.

Hey gang,

I've made some real races from USA Pro Cycling Challenge 2011.
Stage 1
Stage 3
Stage 5

Those races are real races and playable.

I've used bikeroute toaster, than GPS Kicker and change some data in the XML file.

This all that I know how to do. Did not put sprint, KOM sprint and stuff like that.

If you want, I can give you the GPX file and the xml files.

What do you think ?

The stages would be very welcome.
I can put in the sprints, KOMs etc.

I'm unable to download the file - probably because someone else in my apartment building is downloading from Megaupload at the moment, and I don't have (and won't get) a premium account.
I don't get what's so great about these "big" download sites like Megaupload anyway - you have to wait almost a minute to access the file, and even then you can't get it sometimes.

Maybe you can re-upload the file elsewhere? Otherwise, I'll try to download tomorrow from university.

Thanks. Smile

The stages look OK from what I can see. There are some issues, however:
1) Why do all stages at an altitude of 2 meters? That makes several stages go below sea level, while in reality Colorado is anything but at sea level. Of course that's not really an issue unless one adds water in the Stage Editor, but still.
2) I'd hoped that you had added roads etc. too.
While you had no way of knowing it, I did plot the routes of these stages and convert them with the GPS Kicker myself, and I find "my" stages to be better.
So I'll most likely continue building the stages from these. Embarassed

But thanks for the effort. If you're up for it you can try your hands with any of the races listed (hidden in the spoiler) in the first post.

1) Simple, if I let the real altitude, we did not see the race profile in game. I'l only see brown color of mountain even for the prologue. That's why I put it to 2. It can be changed easily.

2) I use the road given by GPS kicker. I don't really understand the stage editor and the GPS kicker. I'll try maybe some more race.

remember it's my first ever expecrience in stage designing.
